For this project in Newby, Greenfields installed a fully integrated renewable energy system designed to provide efficient heating and generate renewable electricity for the property.
The installation combined a Vaillant air source heat pump, in-roof solar PV panels, hot water storage, and battery storage, creating a complete low-carbon energy solution for the home.
The Customer’s Objective
The homeowner wanted a modern, energy-efficient system that would reduce reliance on traditional energy sources and improve the property’s overall sustainability.
By combining heat pump technology with solar generation and battery storage, the goal was to create a system capable of providing heating, hot water, and renewable electricity from a single integrated setup.
System Installed
The Greenfields team installed the following system:
- 7kW Vaillant air source heat pump
- Roof-integrated solar PV system
- Vaillant hot water storage cylinder
- Lux Power battery storage system
The solar PV panels generate electricity during daylight hours, helping to power the property and the heat pump. Any excess energy can be stored in the battery for later use, improving energy efficiency and reducing grid consumption.
Key Benefits of the Installation
✔ Efficient low-carbon heating with a Vaillant air source heat pump
✔ Renewable electricity generated by roof-integrated solar panels
✔ Battery storage to maximise use of solar energy
✔ Reduced reliance on imported electricity
✔ Lower long-term energy costs
Integrated Renewable Energy Systems
Combining heat pumps, solar PV, and battery storage is becoming an increasingly popular solution for homeowners looking to improve energy efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint.
By generating electricity during the day and storing excess energy for later use, systems like this can significantly reduce the amount of energy a property needs to import from the grid.
