For this project, Greenfields installed a 22kW three-phase CTC air-source heat pump, along with a solar PV system and battery storage, to provide efficient heating and renewable electricity for the property.
The goal was to create an integrated renewable energy system that would reduce reliance on imported electricity while providing reliable heating year-round.
The Customer’s Goal
The homeowner wanted to improve the energy efficiency of their property while reducing long-term energy costs.
They were particularly interested in combining heat pump heating with solar generation and battery storage, allowing them to generate and store their own electricity and reduce dependence on the National Grid.
System Installed
For this installation, the Greenfields team fitted:
- 22kW three-phase CTC air source heat pump
- Buffer tank and 3-zone heating system
- 5.7kW solar PV system
- Battery storage system
The air source heat pump provides efficient heating and hot water, while the solar panels generate renewable electricity during the day. Any excess energy can be stored in the battery for later use.
Benefits of This System
✔ Lower electricity bills through solar generation
✔ Reduced reliance on imported grid electricity
✔ Low-carbon heating with an air source heat pump
✔ Battery storage to maximise solar usage
✔ Long-term energy cost savings
